Automate Your Work with AI
Design and build smart automation workflows with AI. From email triggers to data pipelines, create time-saving automations that free up hours every week.
What You'll Learn
- Identify repetitive tasks that are ripe for automation
- Design automation workflows from trigger to action
- Implement different tools and platforms using AI-assisted integration
- Apply errors and edge cases gracefully in automated workflows
- Evaluate and optimize automations for reliability and speed
- Build a portfolio of automations that save hours every week
Course Syllabus
Prerequisites
- Basic understanding of business workflows
- Experience with at least one productivity tool
Stop Doing What Machines Can Do
Right now, somewhere in your workday, you’re copying data from one spreadsheet to another. Or sending the same follow-up email for the fifth time this week. Or manually updating a status report that could update itself.
These tasks aren’t hard. They’re not even particularly annoying – the first time. But multiply them across days, weeks, and months, and you’re hemorrhaging hours on work that adds zero creative value.
Automation isn’t about replacing your job. It’s about deleting the boring parts of it so you can focus on the work that actually matters – the thinking, creating, strategizing, and connecting that no machine can do for you.
What You’ll Learn
This course teaches you to think in workflows, design automations from scratch, and build a portfolio of real, working automations:
- Spot automation opportunities in your daily work
- Design workflows with clear triggers, conditions, and actions
- Build email and communication automations that run without you
- Process data across tools and platforms automatically
- Handle errors so your automations don’t break silently
- Test and optimize for reliability and speed
Course Overview
Lesson 1: Stop Doing What Machines Can Do for You
Why automation matters, what’s automatable (and what isn’t), and a framework for spotting opportunities in your own work.
Lesson 2: Thinking in Workflows – Triggers, Actions, Conditions
The building blocks of every automation: what starts it, what it does, and what decisions it makes along the way.
Lesson 3: Designing Your First Automation
Walk through designing a complete automation from scratch, using AI to help plan the logic and structure.
Lesson 4: Email and Communication Automations
Automate the messages you send over and over: follow-ups, notifications, reports, and sequences.
Lesson 5: Data Processing and Multi-Step Workflows
Connect tools, transform data, and build automations that chain multiple steps together.
Lesson 6: Error Handling and Edge Cases
When automations break (and they will), you need graceful failures. Build resilient workflows.
Lesson 7: Testing, Monitoring, and Improving Automations
How to test before deploying, monitor after launching, and optimize over time.
Lesson 8: Capstone – Build an Automation Portfolio
Design and document three complete automations that address real problems in your work.
Who This Course Is For
This course is designed for:
- Operations professionals who manage processes and workflows
- Marketing and sales teams who send repetitive communications
- Project managers who track statuses and send updates manually
- Small business owners doing everything themselves
- Anyone who does the same task more than three times a week and thinks “there has to be a better way”
You should be comfortable with basic productivity tools (email, spreadsheets, project management apps). No coding experience needed – we focus on designing automations and using AI to plan them, not on writing code.
Time Investment
8 lessons, about 20-25 minutes each. Complete the course in a weekend or work through one lesson per day.
By the end, you’ll have a portfolio of automations that demonstrably save you time – and the skills to keep building more.
