Why this instead of a traditional degree?

Typical PMP Exam-Prep Course
  • $400-$2,000 for bootcamps and question banks
  • Teaches the exam, not the Tuesday-morning job
  • Zero AI — you learn 2015 workflows in 2026
  • Generic theory, no project to practice on
  • Ends at the certificate; skills fade by summer
Professional Certificate in Project Management
  • Included with Pro subscription
  • One realistic project threads through every module
  • Every lesson runs real prompts against real artifacts
  • A verification habit that catches AI's confident errors
  • Produces a reusable playbook + a capstone you self-score

What you'll learn

Use AI to turn a raw business brief into a charter, stakeholder register, and testable requirements — AI drafts, you verify, the sponsor signs

Build a defendable WBS, a schedule baseline with critical path, and estimates calibrated against AI's documented optimism bias

Examine and prioritize project risks — filtering AI-hallucinated ones — and arm responses with named owners and observable triggers

Execute agile delivery with an AI scrum desk: sprint planning, story quality control, and retrospective synthesis

Analyze CPI and SPI as a pair, compute EAC and TCPI by hand, and separate temporary variance from structural rot before forecasting

Produce audience-tailored reports, dashboard narratives, and decision memos from one source of truth — same facts, three altitudes

Examine incidents with blameless root-cause analysis — AI clusters the evidence, you confirm causes before countermeasures ship

Apply the six-check verification pass to any AI project output — arithmetic, sources, baseline honesty — before it reaches a stakeholder

Build a personal AI-PM playbook, then run a complete project end to end in the capstone and score it against a professional rubric

The one PM platform with genuinely free AI (1,000 credits/mo) — used to explore tool-native AI in Module 1

Free tier

Every exercise works with free AI tools. Paid PM platforms (Jira + Rovo, Asana AI, ClickUp Brain) are covered in the tool-landscape lesson so you can evaluate them at work — but none are required.

About this program

Project management is having its most awkward decade: PMI projects demand for 30 million project professionals by 2035, yet only about one in five PMs reports real practical AI experience — while the tools quietly absorb the drafting, reporting, and analysis work that used to fill a PM’s week. This program lives in that gap. Across 40 lessons, you’ll learn the operating model that makes AI a genuine force multiplier — you direct, AI drafts, you verify — and apply it to every stage of a real project lifecycle, from a messy kickoff brief to a signed-off closure.

The spine of the program is one progressive project: Meridian Home Services, a 120-person company replacing its aging scheduling spreadsheet with field-service software. You’ll charter it, map its stakeholders, decompose its work, price its risks, run its sprints, report its earned value, and close it — every artifact building on the last, every module adding an instrument to the panel. Then the capstone takes the training wheels off: a restaurant group launching a central commissary kitchen against an immovable holiday deadline, which you run end to end, through a three-shock crisis week, entirely from your own playbook.

What makes this program different is its verification spine. AI in project work fails in documented, recurring ways — invented risks, confident arithmetic errors, optimistic estimates, causal stories that sound right and aren’t — and every module trains the specific check that catches each one. You graduate with two complete artifact sets, a personal AI-PM playbook organized by lifecycle stage, and the habit that keeps PMs employable through every tool generation: never shipping a number you haven’t traced. The pathway map in Module 0 shows where this certificate sits on the road to mastery; the Master Certification tier — portfolio, program, PMO — is the marked next step.

Prerequisites

Complete these 3 courses before starting the program. They give you the PM vocabulary, collaboration mechanics, and leadership basics this program builds on — the program's self-assessment in Module 0 tells you exactly where you stand.

Frequently asked

Do I need specific AI tools or subscriptions?

No. Every exercise works with the free tiers of Claude, ChatGPT, or Gemini, plus a free spreadsheet. Module 1 covers the paid tool-native AI landscape (Jira's Rovo, Asana AI, ClickUp Brain, monday.com) so you can evaluate them at work, but none are required for the program.

Is this a PMP prep course?

No — and deliberately so. This program teaches the working job: running a real project end to end with AI leverage. It covers much of the same ground as PMP study (EVM, critical path, risk, procurement, PMBOK 8's principles) and pairs well with exam prep, but the deliverable is capability and a portfolio of artifacts, not exam readiness.

I've never formally managed a project. Can I start here?

Module 0 includes an honest self-assessment with a gap-to-course map. If you score low on PM vocabulary or basic AI prompting, it routes you to the three short prerequisite courses first. If you've informally coordinated work — even without the title — you'll likely clear the bar.

What prerequisites do I need?

Three short courses: Project Management with AI, Team Collaboration with AI, and Leadership Skills with AI. Together they take about 5 hours. The Module 0 self-assessment tells you whether you can skip any of them.

What do I actually build during the program?

One realistic project — Meridian Home Services, a field-service software rollout — threads through Modules 2-8. You produce its charter, stakeholder register, WBS, schedule baseline, risk register, sprint system, communication suite, budget, and EVM panel. Then the capstone hands you a completely different project to run solo. You finish with two complete artifact sets plus a personal AI-PM playbook.

How long does it take to complete?

About 6 weeks at 4 hours per week — 40 lessons plus the hands-on artifact work. Fully self-paced: the lessons total roughly 15 hours, and the practice work is where the rest goes. The capstone rewards learners who don't rush it.

Will AI replace project managers?

The evidence points the other way: PMI projects demand for 30 million project professionals by 2035, while only about 20% of PMs report real practical AI experience. AI is absorbing the drafting and analysis work — status reports, first-draft plans, data clustering — which shifts the PM's value to judgment, verification, and stakeholder work. This program trains exactly that combination.

What makes this different from the Project Management with AI course?

The course teaches individual skills in about 2 hours — prompting for PM work, basic planning, task breakdown. This program integrates everything into a working system across 40 lessons: a full lifecycle on a realistic project, earned value you compute by hand, a verification habit for AI's confident errors, and a capstone you run solo. It's the difference between knowing the tools and having run a project with them.

Is the certificate recognized by employers?

The certificate carries a verifiable credential ID. More practically: the program produces artifacts you can show — a complete planning pack, an EVM analysis, a decision memo, a capstone scored against a professional rubric. In interviews, walking through how you caught an AI arithmetic error in a cost forecast lands harder than any certificate line.

Do I need coding or technical skills?

None. You'll paste prompts into AI chat tools and work in spreadsheets. The most technical moment in the program is dividing two numbers to verify a cost index — by design, because that hand-check habit is a core professional skill this program builds.

I'm a working PM already. What's in this for me?

The AI layer, systematized. Most working PMs use AI casually — a draft here, a summary there. This program gives you the full operating model: where AI fits in each lifecycle stage, the eight documented failure modes and the verification pass that catches them, supervised root-cause analysis, and a playbook that turns scattered prompting into a repeatable system your next project starts from.

What comes after the certificate?

The pathway continues to the Master Certification tier: portfolio prioritization, program management, PMO design, and leading PM teams through AI adoption — the many-project dimension this certificate deliberately fences off. Module 0 shows you the full map, and the capstone's final lesson marks exactly where you stand on it.
