Copilot Cowork: Build AI Workflows in Microsoft 365
Build automated multi-step workflows in Microsoft 365 with Copilot Cowork. 8 hands-on lessons covering meeting prep, reports, email triage, and data pipelines.
Your Work Runs on Autopilot Now
You’ve got seven meetings this week, two status reports due, an inbox that’s 200 emails deep, and a quarterly deck that somehow needs to exist by Friday. You know what to do for each task – the problem isn’t skill, it’s time.
Copilot Cowork changes the equation. Instead of chatting with AI one prompt at a time, you describe the outcome you want – “prep me for tomorrow’s board meeting” or “build this week’s status report from my Teams threads and Planner” – and Cowork turns that into a multi-step plan that runs across Outlook, Teams, Excel, PowerPoint, and SharePoint. It works in the background, checks in when it needs your input, and delivers finished outputs you can review, tweak, and send.
This course teaches you to build real workflows, not toy demos.
Where this fits after May 1, 2026
Microsoft Agent 365 hits General Availability on May 1, 2026 as part of the new M365 E7 bundle. Agent 365 introduces a multi-agent governance layer with Entra-managed identity per agent — a different tier of product than Copilot Cowork’s single-agent workflow runtime. Copilot Cowork (this course) remains the right starting point for most teams: it covers the workflow-builder muscles you need before Agent 365’s governance complexity earns its keep. For the honest 3-stack comparison (Agent 365 vs Copilot Cowork vs Claude Cowork), see our decision matrix blog post.
