There are two loud camps in the tarot community right now. One says AI cannot channel, was trained on stolen artwork, and has no business near a deck. The other says AI is a mirror, a dynamic book, a thinking partner for solo readers without a teacher nearby. Both camps have a point. Neither is the working reader’s actual problem.

The actual problem is that follow-up writing eats half your paid reading time, that spread design takes weeks when it should take an afternoon, and that you sometimes need a second mind to surface an interpretation you wouldn’t have reached alone — without confessing to anyone that you’re stuck. You picked this practice partly because it pays you to pay attention to people. The admin tail is what burns it out.

This course defines a third position: AI as scribe, not seer. AI handles the writing, the organizing, the second-look interpretation, the prompt generation. It does not channel, predict, divine, or replace what you bring to the table. That distinction is the entire ethical frame of the course — clean enough to defend at a tarot meet-up, specific enough to actually run a practice on.

In eight lessons you’ll write a public-facing disclosure paragraph (Lesson 1), turn shorthand notes into a polished follow-up email in fifteen minutes (Lesson 2), use AI as an interpretation “second deck” without overriding your own pulls (Lesson 3), generate non-extractive shadow-work prompts (Lesson 4), co-design a custom spread for a niche client question (Lesson 5), navigate the deck-creator integrity question on image AI (Lesson 6), draft boundary and refund scripts that protect your nervous system (Lesson 7), and build a private “house-spirit” Custom GPT that knows your voice, your decks, and your lines (Lesson 8).

The course is built for working readers — people who actually do this for money, trade, or serious personal practice. There’s no “what is tarot” refresher and no AI hype. We assume you can pull cards. We assume you’ve heard of ChatGPT. We go directly to the workflow that lets you keep doing the work you love without it eating your weekends.

What You'll Learn

  • Articulate the 'Scribe, Not Seer' ethics line — what AI does and doesn't do in your practice — and write a one-paragraph disclosure clients can read
  • Turn shorthand reading notes into a polished, in-voice follow-up email in 15 minutes instead of 90
  • Use AI as an interpretation 'second deck' — to surface alternative meanings without overriding your own intuition
  • Generate non-extractive shadow-work prompts and journaling questions for clients (and yourself) without therapy-speak or AI-flavor
  • Co-design custom spreads for niche client questions (career pivot, relationship reset, post-loss reflection) that feel hand-built
  • Apply the deck-creator integrity test to image AI work — when it's safe, when it's the line, when it's the tell
  • Write boundary, refund, and gentle-decline scripts that protect your nervous system without sounding cold
  • Build a private 'house-spirit' Custom GPT that knows your voice, your decks, your boundaries — and never goes rogue on a client

After This Course, You Can

Cut follow-up writing time from ~90 minutes to ~15 minutes per reading — without losing your voice
Defend your AI workflow publicly with a one-paragraph disclosure that respects both pro-AI and anti-AI camps in the tarot community
Design custom spreads for niche client questions in a single working session instead of weeks of journaling
Build a sustainable practice that doesn't burn out at 6 readings/week — because the admin tail isn't eating your evenings anymore
Position yourself as a thoughtful AI-aware practitioner — useful when readers without AI literacy start losing clients to ones who have it

What You'll Build

Your disclosure paragraph + ethics line
A one-paragraph statement you can put on your booking page, in your follow-up emails, or in your Instagram bio — describing exactly how AI is and isn't used in your practice. Built in Lesson 1, refined across the course.
A polished follow-up email from real reading shorthand
Take messy notes from a real reading (or a practice reading), run them through the Lesson 2 workflow, and produce a follow-up email that reads like you wrote it on a slow afternoon — in 15 minutes.
Your private house-spirit Custom GPT
A Custom GPT (or Claude Project) loaded with your voice, your favorite decks, your interpretation style, and your boundaries. Yours alone — not for client-facing use. The Lesson 8 capstone.

Course Syllabus

Prerequisites

Who Is This For?

  • Practitioners who've felt the community pressure on AI use and want a defensible third position
  • Spiritual workers who already use AI quietly and want a coherent ethics frame for it

Frequently Asked Questions

Does this course teach AI to read tarot for me?

No — and that's the whole point. The course is built around a single ethics line: AI is your scribe, not your seer. It drafts follow-ups, surfaces alternative meanings, co-designs spreads, generates journaling prompts. It does not channel, predict, or replace your intuition. If you wanted a course that hands readings off to ChatGPT, this isn't it.

I already feel weird about AI in spiritual work. Is this course for me?

Especially yes. Lesson 1 is the lesson you've been missing — a clear ethics line that lets you use AI for the admin parts of the work without violating community norms or your own gut. By the end of the course you'll know exactly what AI is allowed to touch in your practice, what it isn't, and how to disclose either way.

Will my clients be able to tell if I use AI for the follow-up?

If you copy-paste raw AI output, yes — within seconds. The course teaches the editing pass that keeps your voice intact: removing AI tells, fixing the over-explained transitions, replacing generic interpretations with the specific things you actually said in the room. Done right, the follow-up reads like you wrote it on a slow afternoon, not like an LLM.

Which AI tools will I use?

ChatGPT (free or Plus), Claude, or Gemini — any one is fine. Lessons 1–7 work in any modern chatbot. Lesson 6 covers image AI (Midjourney, DALL-E, Sora) for deck concepting. Lesson 8 builds a private Custom GPT (ChatGPT Plus) — there's a Claude Project alternative if you don't have Plus.

Will I get a certificate?

Yes. Complete all 8 lessons + pass the quizzes and you'll receive a verifiable credential (format TST-XXXXXX) you can share on Instagram, your reader profile, or just keep in your records. The certificate doesn't claim you're a 'certified AI tarot reader' — that's not a thing. It confirms you completed a working ethics-and-workflow course for AI in a tarot practice.
