Claude Cowork Essentials
Learn Claude Cowork from scratch. Set up the desktop agent, work with files, connect your tools, and automate real workflows — course with certificate.
You’ve probably used Claude in a chat window. Type a question, get a response, copy-paste it somewhere else.
Cowork is different. Instead of chatting back and forth, you hand Claude a real task — “organize my Downloads folder,” “turn these meeting notes into a project plan,” “analyze this spreadsheet and flag the outliers” — and it actually does it. On your computer. With your files.
No more copy-pasting between browser tabs. No more uploading documents just to get a summary. Cowork reads your files, creates new ones, connects to your tools, and handles multi-step work while you do something else.
This course walks you through everything from first setup to building your own automated workflows. By the end, you’ll know exactly when to use Cowork vs regular Claude — and you’ll have a real workflow running that saves you hours every week.
No coding required. If you can describe what you want done, you can use Cowork.
Cowork vs Microsoft’s stack (May 2026 context)
If your team works inside Microsoft 365, you may also be evaluating Microsoft 365 Copilot Cowork (M365 Copilot’s task-completion agent) and Microsoft Agent 365 (the new multi-agent enterprise layer hitting GA May 1, 2026). They sit in different parts of the agent landscape than Claude Cowork — Microsoft’s are stack-locked to M365; Claude Cowork is a desktop agent that doesn’t care which cloud productivity stack you use. For the honest 3-stack comparison and a decision tree, see our Microsoft Agent 365 vs Claude Cowork vs Copilot Cowork decision matrix.
